Linking the ideas of a text

Discourse connectors organise a text or an argument: they link ideas (conclusion, addition, opposition). They are used mainly in writing and careful speech. Many are set off by commas.

💡⚠️ Formal register; commas

These connectors mainly structure writing and argumentation (presentations, articles). однако is a more formal equivalent of но; таким о́бразом, тем не менее, кроме того are set off by commas.
Однако (= но) э́то не то́чно.
Таким о́бразом, вы́вод я́сен.
