Expressing fear or imminent doubt
Russian has idiomatic modal phrases to express probability, fear or fatalism. At C1, using them appropriately sounds very natural.
Fear, doubt, fatalism

Заболе́ешь, чего до́брого. (You might well end up ill.)
💡⚠️ Shades, not literal meaning
чего до́брого and того и гляди express fear that an (often unwelcome) event may occur. авось conveys a fatalistic hope (« на авось » = on the off chance). These turns are colloquial and vivid.
Просту́дишься, чего до́брого.
На авось не надейся.
Hedging (смягчение)
Softening the assertion

Пожалуй, ты прав. (You are probably right.)

как бы — in speech (do not overuse)
Я как бы за́нят. (I am, like, busy.)
💡⚠️ как бы / вроде: softening the assertion
как бы, вроде (бы), пожалуй soften what you assert (less categorical). как бы is also a spoken filler: avoid it in writing. не то что́бы… qualifies a negation.
