Each genre has its clichés (речевые штампы): expected, ready-made formulas. Mastering them lets you write like a native in the intended genre (official letter, scientific article, press).

💡⚠️ The right cliché in the right place (beware канцелярит)

Each genre has its expected штампы: в соответствии с (official), сле́дует отметить (scientific), не секре́т, что (press). But outside their genre, these formulas weigh the text down — that is канцелярит (heavy bureaucratic jargon), to avoid in everyday language.
official: настоя́щим уведомляем (formula)
avoid in speech: осуществить поку́пку (= simply « купить »)

Dialogue: writing a letter
