Three types of subjectless sentence

Russian often builds sentences without an expressed subject. There are three types: неопределённо-ли́чные (“they / one”), безличные (impersonal: nature, state) and обобщённо-ли́чные (truths valid for everyone).

Неопределённо-ли́чные: “they / one”

3rd person plural verb = “they / one”

💡⚠️ 3rd person plural = “they / one”

With no expressed subject, the verb in the 3rd person plural matches English “they / one / someone”: Мне сказа́ли (I was told), Тебе́ звоня́т (someone is calling you). The agent is unknown or unimportant.
По ра́дио передаю́т но́вости. (the news is being broadcast)
Его́ уво́лили. (he was fired)

Безличные: nature, state, necessity
